The next decade needs a system this market doesn't have yet.

For four years, Alcove has been building that system.

We started at the source.

Alcove began on the supply side, building alongside the teams bringing carbon projects to issuance. The same thing kept happening. A project would do the work, gather the evidence, pass the review, earn its credits. Then it would go to the next registry, or the next buyer, or the next framework, and have to prove all of it again. From scratch.

The proof was real. It just couldn't travel. Every system trusted its own copy and no one else's, so the same work got rebuilt at every border it crossed. We kept watching teams re-earn what they'd already earned.

That's when it became clear this wasn't a workflow problem. There was no shared record underneath any of it.

So we built one.

Who's behind it.

Alcove was built by people who know what serious infrastructure takes, from Google and Sidewalk Labs, from federal climate policy and IRA implementation, from MRV and environmental-standards work.

Since 2022, they've been building it as one team, alongside the market they're building it for.

It was founded by Mars Garza and Marley Rafson, and is backed by XYZ, 776, BEA and angels from Vanta, Salesforce, Okta, and Sequoia.

One record, underneath it all.

The reference layer for environmental and energy transition markets.
One canonical record of each asset, run once and read the same way across every system that connects to it.

Build with us.

Environmental value should count the same everywhere it goes. That takes a record the whole market can trust, and we're building it, alongside the registries, standards bodies, project developers and institutions defining what comes next.
